Does it replace clergy, therapy, or emergency support?
No. Ask Philos is not a replacement for clergy, spiritual directors, therapists, doctors, lawyers, emergency services, or other qualified professionals.
Is it private?
The companion experience is account-protected inside the native app. Ask Philos may process account information, profile preferences, spiritual preferences, app activity, AI messages, Journal, Memory, usage events, diagnostics, and support requests to provide and protect the service. Journal and Memory may be stored in your account and may sync across devices when you are signed in. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.
Does it have ads?
No. Ask Philos is not built around advertising on this public website, and we do not sell personal spiritual reflections.
Is the app free?
When available, the app may offer a free experience. Availability, launch timing, and usage limits may vary by platform, region, and release.
How does premium work?
Premium subscriptions may be offered through the Ask Philos app, Apple App Store, Google Play, or approved subscription providers. The public website does not process payment card details. Pricing, plan names, and availability will be shown clearly in the app before purchase where applicable.

Can I use Ask Philos anonymously?
No. Ask Philos requires an account for app use and AI features. We do this to protect account boundaries, usage limits, safety controls, and user-managed history. We treat user reflections, journal content, memory content, and AI interactions as private user content and do not sell them or publish them. We do not disclose user content except as needed to operate, secure, support, or maintain the service; with your direction; to service providers under appropriate obligations; to investigate abuse or safety issues; or when required or permitted by applicable law, legal process, or to protect users, the public, our rights, or the service.
Who helps operate the service?
Ask Philos relies on trusted infrastructure and technology providers to operate, secure, and improve the service. These may include providers for authentication, databases, hosting, AI processing, email delivery, app distribution, subscriptions, analytics, diagnostics, security, and customer support. Current examples include Supabase for app backend services, OpenAI or other AI model providers for AI responses, and Cloudflare for website hosting and infrastructure.
